![]() ![]() ![]() Flawless using the same context of MIDI control and sync, but the device itself works completely different from a typical guitar pedal looper and may not be what one expects, wants or needs. All loops, overdubs, and settings can be saved and recalled later using the pedal’s 16 user presets. The pedal itself is a unique take on a delay, reverb and looper effect. OVERVIEW Microcosm Demo by Hologram A short feature demo of Microcosm by Hologram Electronics. I also use the EHX 45000 at every gig with MIDI Sync. When you’ve found a sound you like, the built-in stereo phrase looper can capture up to 60 seconds of your performance and even allows for layering phrases from different effects. I had to move it to my floorboard for direct control, which is always robust (and which meant longer cable runs). It was reliable I'd say about 98% of the time, but then every once in a while it would ignore commands and even go into a stuck state. I used to have the Infinity in a rack and I would control it with buttons dedicated to its functions on a Liquid Foot MIDI controller. I've stopped worrying about it now.Īlso, the MIDI commands can misbehave. It’s a simple guitar loop with a little bit of kalimba thrown in, ran through the prefx and twisted into unicorn magic. Until I got the Molten Voltage TEMPODE to be my master clock, I was always on the alert that the Infinity was going to go haywire. Just a little fun with the microcosm’s phrase looper. At its core, the Microcosm features 11 effects and a phrase looper. Aaand it doesn’t loop no matter which option I choose. Hologram Electronics have released details on a new pedal called Microcosm that looks to raise the bar on what’s achievable with a single FX pedal. ![]() I go to sample edit and there is the loop button that lets me change the types of looping. I would love to hit the pad and have it loop indefinitely. Just my experience with the Infinity (I use one at every gig with MIDI sync), overall it is a great unit, but has little tolerance for MIDI clock that isn't rock solid. Looping samples assigned to pad in drum program Ok, so I’ve got a fun drum sample assigned to pad A1 in a drum program. ![]()
